What is a sit spot?
Somewhere in nature where your body wants to sit, a place you will spend time with through many seasons to cultivate awareness and notice subtleties in our environments. In the case of this gathering, the focus of sit spots will be to build relationships with your community and their favorite trees.
June Location:
Ranger Falls // 2140 Flat Mountain Road, Highlands, NC 28741
Participants will be guided by Madison Traviss and Hope Corbin. They will also have the option to join a private telegram chat to share about their sit spots between gatherings.
Please bring:
anything to feel most comfortable for spending a few hours outside together like weather appropriate clothing and shoes, sit pad, journal, etc. Pruners or scissors as well if you’d like to participate in a practice of reciprocity with our June tree.
