Join Me and Highlands‑Cashiers Land Trust for an evening of Forest Bathing, inspired by the Japanese of Shinrin-Yoku. This gentle, slow-paced walk along the granite outcrops below Whiteside Mountain invites you to unplug and immerse yourself in your senses. This gathering is a great opportunity to connect to self, community, and our natural world but has also been shown to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, boost your immune functions, and enhance mood and focus.
Consider Bringing:
While the walk itself will be no longer than 1 mile in length, please wear sturdy shoes and comfortable weather appropriate clothes + accoutrement (hats, sunscreen, bug spray, umbrella, etc), water, snacks, something to sit on such as a pillow or blanket, and anything to make your time outside most comfortable.
Compact and/or portable expressive modalities: a journal, sketchbook, watercolors, etc.
Not a swimsuit, but we will bathe in the phytoncides of the forest!
FREE & OPEN TO ALL. Registration is Required. Space is Limited to 15 participants.
