Join Me at Jones Knob for a comfy cozy afternoon of “bathing in the forest” inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, therapeutic relaxation guided by sensory invitations. During this 2-hour experience, there will be a mix of leisurely strolling, observation, and reflection both as a group and individually. Be ready to experience the restorative benefits of our natural world and integrate these tools to practice presence into your daily life. Together, we will participate in and befriend the winter season.
Consider bringing: water, snacks, something to sit on such as a yoga mat or blanket, light for sunset navigating, and anything else to make our time outside more comfortable. Expressive elements of choice like journals or sketchbooks are also encouraged.
Forest Bathing trips are led by House of Fig, LLC that operates under special use permit on the Nantahala National Forest and operates on a non-discriminatory basis. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
